World Marmalade Awards is underway as Crowds Flock to Dalemain

The World Marmalade Awards and festival is taking place this weekend at Dalemain, and has once again attracted thousands of entries from around the world all on display as the doors opened at 10am this morning.




The winning marmalade due to be announced as the festival gets underway will go on sale at Fortnum & Mason in London, with a percentage of the proceeds from sales going to the Hospice at Home charity.

The World Marmalade Awards and festival taking place at Dalemain today is as the doors open attracting crowds to sample the marmalades and explore Dalemain along with a free bus service linking Dalemain and Penrith where visitors can enjoy music and explore the towns shops that have decorated windows to celebrate awards and turn Penrith Orange.
