Storm Bram: A66 Closed to high sided and vulnerable vehicles due to strong winds

National Highways have closed the A66 in both directions between the M6 in Penrith, Cumbria and the A1M Scotch Corner in North Yorkshire to high sided and vulnerable vehicles due to strong winds over the Pennines.

The Met Office has issued a Yellow Weather warning for strong winds across the North Pennines for strong Westerly winds with gusts of 50-60mph over high ground.

The weather warning is in place through the night until mid morning on Wednesday.
