Long delays on Approach roads to Kemplay Roundabout

5 mile tailback on A66 approaching Penrith is leading to long delays for drivers who are currently facing delays of 40 minutes on the A66 between Appleby and Kemplay Roundabout.

The tailbacks on the A66 are also resulting in queuing traffic and delays on the A6 through Eamont Bridge as drivers attempt to use backroads to avoid delays on the A66.

Traffic heading between J40 and Kemplay roundabout is also queuing between both roundabouts leading to some queuing traffic on the M6 for the J40 exit.
